Then just do something simple. When you decide you want to use a new guy, identify two, three, or four stats that you want to be high. Give it ten vitamins for all of those stats, then just do whatever. It won't have the same impact as total EV training, but it'll be a more useful pokemon than if you just let your EV's go all over the place.

That said, you still can do it. You'd just have 100 in five stats and then 10 in another. Not really a very good way to train a pokemon, though.

Also, I think you should put in some training patterns. The ones that are simplest to use and understand are:

252, 252, 4 (good for sweepers who need max atk/s.atk and max speed. The 4 means you can help to iron out issues with def or s.def or give it some more HP. This also works for walls that don't need a lot of HP or sponges who don't need a lot of def or s.def depending on what type of sponge they are.)

252, 129, 129 (A pretty good one for walls or baton passers. 252 hp or maybe speed if it's a baton passer, then 129 def and s.def. You can also use this for tanks with 252 atk or s.atk and 129 in both of their defenses. Also works for "agility sweepers" who only need 129 in speed tops and probably don't need speed at all. Instead put the 129 in your def and s.def then watch speed sky-rocket when you use agility. Works pretty well for mixed sweepers, too, but mixed sweepers suck.)

128, 128, 128, 128, 4 (This is for someone who is feeling indecisive about a tank or a baton passer. Not sure if they want to jeopardize their baton-passer's speed so they make it 128 and then do 128 for all of their defensive stats. Also works for more balanced tanks by putting 128 in all three defensive stats and another 128 in an attack stat. The 4 goes wherever you want it to)

The first two are usually the best. These are by far not the only options, but if you want to go with something else then you should use a stat calculator to be sure that your stats will turn out the way you want them to, otherwise you may wind up with a pokemon that isn't all that it can be. Try to get a nature that's + whatever stat you want 252 ev's in because that means you get max benefit from those EV's.

Are you sposed to EV train with new pokemon? Also, couldn't you just buy a bunch of drugs for your pokemans to get the desired stats?
