anybody notice the easter egg xmen mag on riggins night stand? (gambit reference)

Thanks for posting the Direct TV episodes. If the rumors are true that NBC aired this season on Direct TV to see if they would keep it on broadcast, I hope it worked! I'm a fan of FNL and it was great to see them transition from last season. The big questions is... HOW will they transition this year? Last season there were a few losses to graduation. This year, you have "seven," Riggins, Lyla, Tyra, Landry, etc. The only new character they introduced was JD and there isn't much of a storyline for him yet.

I saw past posts regarding storylines of Dillon east and two rival teams. It will take some good writing to pull off this type of transition next season! I'll keep my fingers crossed!

What was the signifigance of Riggins leaving his cleats on the field after the State Championship game?

I'm guessing him leaving his cleats is supposed to signify him "hanging it up", meaning he's not going to play in college. That's what i got from it.

i think the cleats were symbolic of them leaving everthing on the field and no regrets of the score because he walked out and looked at the score board. that was a college field and he was out there smiling like he was ready to go to the next level and couldnt wait to move on in life. riggins identity is football and he would just be a drunk without it.
but they could have him stay to work in his brothers shop, and lyla go to community college and work at her dads car lot to help pay for school. that could keep two of them around for a while.

i hate to see matt leave maybe he will stay a a closer college it would be nice to see matt coach with julies dad. matt and julie together makes the show better, but they could keep matt in a few episodes by julie going to visit. and tim and lyla going away to the same college if he goes could keep them in a few episodes. i hope they have at least one future show of how smash is doing and i hope landry and tyra stay together

did anyone see ny times review of the first show, they said tyra was a cheerleader and shouldnt date a zit faced geek it was not realistic tyra hates football except when shes watching landry. that ny times guy should be fired if he dosent pay attention to details like that. those type critics is why nbc drops shows.
