SMH: Batman star Christian Bale's mother and sister have accused him of assault.
The 34-year-old, who plays the caped crusader in The Dark Knight, faces a grilling by police today over the incident, which happened on Sunday, according to The Sun .
According to the paper, Bale "lashed out" on Sunday night at Park Lane's Dorchester Hotel, where he had a suite.
His mother Jenny, 61, and sister Sharon, 40, reportedly lodged the complaint at a police station in Hampshire yesterday.
But detectives chose not to disrupt last night's glittering premiere in London of the film, which has smashed Hollywood box office records.
"It was a very difficult situation but it would have been wrong to have wrecked the premiere over a complaint which we dont yet know is founded in truth," The Sun reported a source as saying.
Police were expected to question Bale - who attended the premiere - today, the paper said.

The Sun is reporting that Batman himself, Christian Bale, has been accused of assault - by his own family!
Despite the charges against him, London police chose not to question the actor on Monday, the day of the London Dark Knight premiere, which he attended.
Bale is alleged to have lashed out on Sunday night at London's Dorchester Hotel.
His mother, Jenny, 61, and sister, Sharon, 40, went to a police station in Hampshire yesterday to lodge the allegation.
The matter was referred to the Met Police.
Detectives are expected to make attempts to question Bale today.
A Met Police spokesman said: “We can confirm we have received allegation from another force in relation to an alleged incident in central London.”
Did he hit his mom or his sister in some violent rage???? Was he drunk????

The thirty-four year old Wales-born actor will be questioned late Tuesday about allegations that he assaulted his 61 year-old mother Jenny and sister Sharon, 40, in a Dorcester hotel suite just hours before Sunday’s European premiere of The Dark Knight.
“It was a very difficult situation but it would have been wrong to have wrecked the premiere over a complaint which we don’t yet know is founded in truth,” a family friend says.
Scotland Yard said: “We can confirm that we have received an allegation from another force in relation to an incident in central London.”
