Ya I've seen that before, I don't think gliding was intended to work that well. But I don't see why it wouldn't be fair, if that happened to me I'd be like "wtf" but it wouldn't really give them any advantage.

Timed match and they are in the lead, then it's definitely not fair. Every other type...not much of a point.

Ony thing you have to do is intercept them while they are still in the air...

Well, it looks like he can jump, then double jump, and only gain air from losing air speed (if you've ever played a flight simulator...or an actual plane...you'll know what I'm talking about) But think of it as more of a wing cap mario effect.
Not to mention, I don't think he'd be able to glide if he was sent flying by an attack.
