postchronicle: Bristol Palin and Sarah Palin pregnancy scandal? Rumors began circulating online Friday about whether Governor Sarah Palin or her daughter Bristol is actually young Trig's mother.
The risk of reporting rumor as news without doing research and your homework for an article, is an embarrassment when the facts eventually come to light.
The rumors began with a popular liberal website, Daily KoS, and certain media outlets reported on them and was even reported here at tPC.
Conservative activists have been pleased Republican presidential hopeful John McCain has tapped Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate, observers say.
The Politico reported that the conservative base of the GOP has been reinvigorated given that McCain chose a solidly anti-abortion, pro-gun candidate. For some conservatives, Palin's nomination has spurred them to work for McCain, for whom the party base has, until recently, offered only lukewarm support.
And that might be the very reason why this story has surfaced.
The reports focused on photos of Republican vice presidential running mate, Sarah Palin, showing that she didn't appear to be really pregnant, then the story followed with supposed "proof" that the baby was her daughter's, Bristol Palin. Kos "proved" Bristol had missed time at school and then they produced pictures of her daughter which they claimed showed her to be "pregnant."
The photo that KoS used and claimed was taken on March 9, 2008, was taken in Wasilla, Alaska in 2006.
No matter how you do the math, there just isn't any way a girl could be pregnant from 2006 to April of 2008.
Keep in mind that secular progressives have simply fabricated this for a lack of any real dirt. The Daily KoS and those that have reported on the speculated rumor as truth, without doing their homework and just repeating the rumor, have all now maligned a 17 year old girl and her mother who is the vice presidential running mate on the Republican ticket.
