All I see are spoiled little brats asking for this and that, and parents appeasing them. It's been hammered into everybody's heads that you have to go and buy people stuff; have to blow all your money on this, etc. It's dumb as hell now.
Aside from being a religious celebration, Christmas is more for spending time with family. Yes, it's all well and good that people do that, but the gifts have become the focal point for the majority, not family. ___

That is true. Sadly you can't change everybody but you can make sure that your future kids know the proper meaning of Christmas by instilling in them the proper values when they're young.
