Woodchucks:

I think sellfishness is the cause of all evil. You murder someone because you do not care aout them, their family, or their friends. You steal from someone because you do not care about how sad they will be, and are only thinking about yorself. Hitler didn't care for the Jews, just like the woodchuck hunter didn't care for the woodchucks. The two were being selfish to the others that they preyed, and didn't care that the other had life, so they tried to rid of them. The only thing that could of stopped their evil, their wrong doing, would have been the power of kindness. If these two had even a morsel of it, they would of felt guilt in their hearts'. That little kindness could of changed them, and restructured the way they live. The problem is, too many people underestimate the power of kindness. If there is one thing that you learn in life, it should be the power of kindness. If people could just learn to be kind to eachother, this world could go a long way.

First they came for the Jews:

This poem makes the phrase, "What comes around, goes around" very true. Helping a friend in dear need of it will come right back you. One day maybe you will be in need of help, and that same friend will come to save you. The speaker in this poem seems like he never helped anyone, and only thought for himself. There again we have an example of sellfishness. They came for the Jews, he did not do anything to help the cause. They came for the communist, and still, he did nothing to help the cause. Then they came for the trade unionst, and still, he did nothing. And Finally, they came for him. But nobody did anything to help him. They all sat there, and did exactly what he did when they were in need of help. Help others, and it will come back to you. Treat others with respect, and it will come back to you.

Hannibal:

Is there even a reason for war? For murder? All these corrupt things are done in vain, and have no meaning. Sure you will gain something by stealing something from someone, but that will have its day to end. Share a piece of your sandwich with someone, that will last forever. People suffer for no reason, there is no reason for degrading a fellow human. We are all the same, and should be kind to one other, but people don't care for that. Everyone has their own life to take of, no time to care for what others need, only what I need. I can't share my sandwich with you because I'm hungry, you may be hungry to, but I don't care. It's my sandwich, so you don't get any. But if you were infact to share that sandwich, I think it would be remembered forever. Kind acts are here to stay, for today, for tomorrow, and forever.

If I have brought a gleam of light:

This poem may be short, but I'll tell you, it has a lot to say. Though my acts of kindness are not much, I hope they will help even in the smallest ways. Kindness is always underestimated, but it could really do alot for people. It may even change their enitre life. Yuo should always try to help those that need a help along the way. When they are down, bring them back up. But when you do help them, it is not you they will see, but Jesus Christ(Loving One), who chose to be in them. So even if you think giving someone a quarter to buy candy isn't much, it may be the world to them.

Evil scourge of the earth so full of waste:

Evil will always be here, no matter if you like or not. But the problem is, it is the one that will cause the world to end. It will corrupt many, and cause peace to be broken. It will tempt men, and make then do sinful things. It's what makes other people kill other people, it's what makes people lies to others. But there is one thing that can send it back to the ground, and I bet you have already guessed it. That's right, kindness. Kind acts will always be remembered, but sinful acts will soon be forgotten. Live to help others, live to be kind and respectful to others, live to be kind. At least then you'll know, your kind acts will somewhat help, and change the world.

Some say life is grand:

The speaker only see's the darker things in life. Therefore he see's life as dark, full of misery and waste. He wishes that no one would live so that such evil things would not have to happen. He has failed to see the other side of life, the one where people help eachother, and care for eachother. He has failed to see the lighter side of life, and until he finds kindness, his vision will continue to be blocked by the dark and dreary, misery, full of waste life that he lives.
