For those that didn't see part I: I decided to start a special selection of threads called the replacements which is discussing the characters replaced from melee to brawl.
Part I was Lucario vs. Mewtwo and Lucario was the clear winner with 11 votes and Mewtwo only 2 votes.
You can check out the thread here and still vote if you wish:

Anyway, it's time for part II! Roy or Ike? Which do you consider is a better character? Personally, I like more Roy his moves. Yet, what I like about Ike is his attitude but unfortunately he feels for me too heavy to use him in brawl.
Ike
VS.
Roy

I like Ike more, I usually like heavier characters and I never played Roy's game. Plus his sword is big and shiny and he fights for his friends. ___

Roy was just a cheap clone of Marth.
Ike:
Fights for his friends.
Has no sympathy for you.
Tells you to prepare yourself after he goes Super Saiyan.
Can kill someone at 60% ___ .:Real life before in-game:.
I'm not saying you have to fall off the wagon. Or get on a wagon. You don't have to interact with a wagon in any way that makes you uncomfortable |

But let's not say the part that he fights for his friends and let's focus on melee and brawl like if the other games didn't exist. Let's focus on the skills, attacks and such because when it comes to the story I am lost lol. ___

I'm lost by this entire quote.
Roy was a clone of Marth. Ike actually has different movesets and a different feel to him. ___ .:Real life before in-game:.

Fixed.
Roy was weaker than the person whose move set he copied. 'Nuff said. ___ My playlist at Playlist.com -- so that you guys don't have to deal with my ska clogging the BC playlist any more.

What I meant to say is: Let's focus on their moves and controlling it on the smash bros. series. And basically say if it was worth it to replace Roy with Ike. ___

Ike is no doubt more powerful, however he is slow as hell. He took a while to get used to his slowness. If you get used to it though, you are pretty much unstoppable
I like Roy because he combines a very nice balance of strength and speed. He wasn't too slow, and he could still pack a powerful punch. My ideal character. ___

Roy was, basically, a n00b version of Marth.
Ike fights for his friends... Sorry. Couldn't resist.
Ike's not a clone, hits very, very, very, very, very fucking hard, and has decent recovery. Roy just has decent ground moves, with some suck-ass aerials.
Ike also does heroin. ___
