Ok I seen lots of people talking crap about Nintendo and I just want to know what game you really need on the Wii besides star fox and kirby? You got, mario, link, metroid, heck even fire emblem, mario kart, smash bros, battalion wars, mario party., animal crossing coming. So, what do you want? Oh and please don't come and say Kid Icarous because honestly I don't see the big deal of that dude. So what more do you want so maybe I can understand you guys more and maybe even join you but please tell me which ones besides kirby and star fox?

Now that I think about it, there isn't anything I want from Nintendo.

Microsoft is giving me all I need.

Ok if I have an xbox 360 (that I do want to have) and I want something besides a shooter game what could I buy that does not involve a poor return of a bear and bird and some random pinatas? Please don't also say kameo because I will kill myself. I am tired everyone saying to me Kameo. Leave the stupid Kameo buried forever! Basically nothing that involves Rare please.

The Movies. Black and White. Civilization Revolution now, not later. A Grand theft Auto esque Back to the Future game....

I wouldn't mind getting most of what you said again, but I'm not going to be upset if I don't either. And here's where I see the general problem with Nintendo consoles...we get what we want too soon. Most of the major franchises have already been done for this console, and while it's not mandatory, it's a good practice to keep them to generally one per console. Why? Two words: Sonic Syndrome.

Let's see...for the N64...

1 Mario
1 Mario RPG
1 Mario Kart
1 Kirby
1 Donkey Kong
1 Smash
1 Star Fox
2 Zelda
2 Banjo-Kazooie
3 Bomberman
0 Metroid

Those are a few of the games I own for N64. Now for the GC...

1 Mario
1 Mario RPG
1 Smash
1 Star Fox
1 Mario Kart
2 Metroid
2 Zelda
0 Kirby

Almost all of those games I just listed came out in the first half of the GC lifespan, which is approximately two years. As far as Nintendo consoles go, we've pretty much peaked when it comes to first-party titles after about two years.

PS3 and 360 are different. They have a slightly stronger presentation throughout because they don't release a whole bunch of their signature titles right of the bat. MGS4, the selling point of the PS3, only released a month ago, so interest in the PS3 is really just getting started with some people. 360 on the other hand is sort of running out of gas now too though since Halo is long gone.

Kirby Adventure looks kickass (4 player Kirby FTW). SF would be nice, and a new Zelda, or 2D side-scroller Metroid for DS.

1) I wasn't talking crap about Nintendo. I was just pointing out the fact that it doesn't seem to really care about its hardcore demographic anymore, it's too busy trying to attract more and more casuals. I love Nintendo, I just don't like the direction they're going in. I have plenty of good and bad to say about each company.

2) All you listed was long-running first-party games, which are fine and dandy, but if all the hardcore gamers have to look forward to is sequel after sequel, regardless of how good it is, we'll get tired of it, eventually. We need more original first-party content, something that's not a sequel. Nintendo needs to stop relying on its franchises to keep the hardcore gamer satisfied.

3) In terms of third-party games, the Wii needs more good third-party games and not just the shovelware they throw upon the masses. I'm tired of seeing sports game after sports game or lame simulation game or what have you.

4) If you are satisfied with the Wii's current offerings, then you aren't a hardcore gamer. Most stuff out for the Wii right now values style over substance, and even then, a lot of the games fail miserably at that.

3) What you say about the 360 is nothing more than a stereotype of the system. There are plenty of good non-shooter games either out or coming out for the system: Beautiful Katamari if you need something quick and fun, Devil May Cry 4, Bully: Scholarship Edition if you didn't play the original, of course, Rock Band/Rock Band 2/Guitar Hero II/III/IV, Final Fantasy XIII, the Top Spin series is often called the best tennis game out thar, Viva Piņata, etc., so don't throw out the excuse of "OH THERE'S NOTHING FOR THE 360 OTHER THAN SHOOTER GAEMS".

I still don't like the 360 because most of its games (as well as the PS3, I'm an equal opportunity "basher") are grungy, "realistic" games. Realistic games aren't my thing. I play games to escape reality, not rearrange or relive it. I want colorful, cartoony games mostly, like Mario and Sonic and Zelda. Metroid is a tad grittier than the typical game I like, but I still love it...well the Prime series is grittier anyhow.

I've got 38 GC games sitting right here and...four of them are anything remotely close to realistic...and I'm including Star Wars and Spiderman in that list...

Out of those same 38 games...17 are third party games and 8 of those are SEGA games and another three of those are Capcom.

So, as you can see, I get what I want from about three companies and I can say screw the rest.
