This goes against my belief that none of us have a purpose in our lives, that life is meaningless, but I think it's a very good question nonetheless.
What is the function of your feet?
Balance.
What is the function of your calf muscle?
Allow lifting of the leg.
What is the function of your ankle?
To walk.
What is the function of your brain?
Thought process.
What is the function of you?
Considering all of our body parts have a function and reasoning for its functioning, do we all have a funtion of a larger role on Earth?
Do we all actually have a purpose?

I don't think any of us have a purpose or "function" as living beings, but what I posted attempts to back up the idea that we do have a function.
I exist just as much as my foot does, and it has a function, shouldn't I?
