Sure, I won't care once I'm non existent. (if that's truly what happens at death.) But for the time being, I think it's a pretty scary thought.
My other personal belief is that anyone who says that they aren't afraid of dieing (especially around our age group) is lying. | I agree with every thing you just said. I feel the exact same way. ___

A baby is born, grows up and lives his or her life and notices how people are trying to stay alive their whole life. Maybe that person automatically assumes that death is a bad thing, and that you should try to stay away from it. ___

That actually makes a lot of sense because yesterday I was outside with my little sister and there was an ant near us she was just staring at it and I was watching her stare at it. Then finally I decided to scare her and I did and she started to cry when she saw the ant. Then I did that one more time and she cried and went to me. But the third time the aunt was going away and I picked up a leaf to bring it close to her and she started to scream. She was not afraid of bugs until I did that.
One other incident was when i was sitting on a chair and she was close to a door way. I just pretended to freak out screaming saying OMG! and she turned looked at the door way started to cry and crawled up on my lap. I did it twice and then stopped. She was afraid of the door way so I had to show her it was ok to make her not fear it anymore. I bet if I continued to do it, she'd never leave a room unattended again. But at what cost?
She is just now in the stage where fear is high. Babys yes are afraid of loud noises and when tensions are high but it wouldn't fear a bug if it went by it (not on it just by the baby). So basically what you say holds true in a lot of cases. We make the kids fear a lot of what they fear when they are in the growing stages. They learn it. (I just hope i haven't scarred my sister for life it was so cute though!) ___

At first i thought it was simply because people have a fear of the unknown, and thereby they fear death. But now i think it's something more, i think people fear not being. You are you, which is to say you are more than a simple collection of emotions and memories. Death is the end of you being you. There prolly more to say on this matter, but i don't really know how to say it.
This topic does bring up the question of what it means to be alive. Since you can't really talk about death without talking about living(as some have already done). ___ MK : DS-FC; 395209-497491

My other personal belief is that anyone who says that they aren't afraid of dieing (especially around our age group) is lying. | I've come to terms with the fact that I'm going to die. Obviously if I was ABOOT to die, then I'd be scared. But I don't fear what happens after death. ___

For me, a lot of it is just the unknown factor. Not knowing what happens after I die. I mean, I know I'm going to heaven, but what happens up there? Do you know what's going on, or does everything just stop? Like people said, not being able to do things you love doing, or not being able to do things you havent done yet.
I would give my life for some people, given the situation. I've had some dreams/nightmares about stuff like that. ___
