Something that has been in my mind for awhile. I know that its primarily due to the fact that no one knows what's beyond this life, but is that truly the only reason? Furthermore, would you give your life for a friend's or family member's....

|
People are afraid of living an unfulfilled life, and then dying. The concept of death itself isn't scary, but not being able to say, see, and experience the things you wanted to before you die is scary, and disappointing. People who have nothing to lose are not afraid of death.
That's just my view.

I'm afaid cause I don't know what the hell happens after death. Do we go in a state of non existasnce or do we exist somewher else. As for saving another person life by risking yours I would do it for people that are very close me.

I stopped fearing death a year ago. Explained it in a post like 2 months.
I say people fear death because they don't want to lose what they have here.

I fear death because I fear non-existance. (as in, no afterlife or re-incarnation...just...nothing.)
Sure, I won't care once I'm non existent. (if that's truly what happens at death.) But for the time being, I think it's a pretty scary thought.
My other personal belief is that anyone who says that they aren't afraid of dieing (especially around our age group) is lying.

Being afraid of death is how every animal is programmed. Otherwise we would have been extinct a loooong time ago.
