Okay, so today I was listening to the radio to the Michael Bastin show. The show isn't really good for all the stuff that is in it, but today's topic intrigued me. The host stated and I quote "I believe in equality: a black child to a black family, a white child to a white family, so on and so forth, but you can not tell me that a child is better off in a foster home than with a loving [gay] couple...." This got me to thinking will a gay couple make a good family, hence the topic title....
The main thing that people whom were against it was that the kids minds would be twisted by seeing two men kissing one another at young ages.... ___ My DA story hub thingy BCWriter's workshop Board

I think as long as the parents (as in any case of marriage, straight or gay) themselves aren't fucked up, the family would be fine. As long as the kids know that the parents are gay, and that there are straight families too, I dont really think there is a problem. ___
Well...I don't see why they wouldn't. I think that a child deserves a family period. Whether it's gay, mixed or whatever. You know what I think? I think it's better for a child to live and be raised by a gay couple, than for that kid to be left in a household unsuitable for him/her because of a physically or mentally abusive parental unit. Hell at the rate I'm going, and according to my family's past relationships, I may not be gay, but I probably won't end up having a father figure in my kid's life. My kid can have me, and "aunt" whoever.
In response to kids becoming twisted at an early age because he/she saw two of the same sex kissing growing up....I NEVER saw my parents kiss. And I know several people who would say the same thing. So.....I think people just need to get over themselves. ___

From a parental perspective, I don't see how they'd be any better or worse parents.
From a Growing up/childhood standpoint, if any of the kids peers found out, he'd probably ridiculed and made an outcast 'till highschool, and by then, even though it doesn't matter who your parents are in highschool, if you were an outcast before that, an outcast you will stay. ___

If there is nothing with a gay couple, then logically there will be nothing wrong with a young homosexual. Though if every one eventually became a homosexual man-kind would soon end.
yeah pretty much the same opinion. although i'll admit my first instinct is no. When you think of a home you think dad, mom and kids. But that really doesn't matter when you think about it. Families can be good or bad depending on how the parents are, straight or gay. ___
