Eh, I didn't like it much either. It just seemed like your standard run-through-this-room-shoot-this-shoot-that-now-move-on kind of game. |
I agree, to a point.
At its core, L4D is very, very basic. Yet its also a very great social experience; the frantic running-and-gunning action coupled with various coop elements makes it very fun to play with others. But I'd never play dat shit by myself, that's for sure.

Actually you're surprisingly not alone there. I've come across a lot of people who weren't impressed. Of course, I'm not one of them lol. But I do think making a second one at this point is stupid when so many people are just wanting additional levels added to the original. I think they'd make more money that way too, because I doubt people will be keen on purchasing what will essentially be the same exact game.  |

Who cares? It's going to be fun, and it's going to be more fun than the first. They role out a new Call of Duty every November and nobody complains because they're good games. And what was promised in L4D that wasn't in the first one? Nothing I can think of. They mention some ideas they had for the game but didn't have enough time to put everything in. They gave us a great addicting game fun game, and they're making a sequel to it. If Left 4 Dead was a beta that was the greatest beta that has ever been made in the history of beta's. I think they've added a whole lot more to it than you think. Infected also aren't "slightly" reworked, they each have the original set of moves, plus all alternate ones as well. I find your post a little ignorant.

I refuse to buy it unless it's less than $10. Everything in L4D2 is what they promised to include in L4D. We got sold a half-assed beta for $50 and then they just hash out a new one with a slightly different environment, slightly re-worked Infected and re-skinned Counter-Strike weapons.

Kind of unnecessary, considering that L4D isn't even a year old yet, but I'll probably get it, just because I'm L4Dless right now.
