How are all of you dealing with the recession? Have any stories to share? Are you and your family spending less/same/more? Are you watching your more cafefull on what you buy? Is your job cutting hours or are you currently jobless?

Ill share some of my experience for the past 2 years or so this has been going on.
My father in summer of 2008, the day after fathers day to around the end of July. was hospitalized for two months. So my family life changed those two months, since my father was not home. Things were easier to get away with, but that is another story. So after my father was released, he could not go back to his job till he got some of the "screws back in his head" so to speak. He literally for the first month or so could not remember something that was said to him five minutes ago, his short term memory was very very bad.So since he was hospitalized for the past two months, we have a crap load of bills to pay. We had to sell our Avalanche for a gas friendly car, sell our 02 Camero Convertible for extra cash.

Then my mom lost one of her jobs as a waitress (the place went under after 8 years of business). The waitress job gave my family an extra $400 or so a week, which gave us money spend on things such as a granite table tops for our kitchen we bought when my dad was in the hospital, leather coaches, and other luxuries.

I feel like this is going to turn into an essay, I could go into way more detail...so I will just shorten it the rest and put it in simple terms.

Tl:dr
1. My father was hospitalized for two months during the summer of 2008, so we have a crap load of hospital bills
2. He is not how he used to be
3. My mom lost her second job as a waitress, which cost us
4. We are struggling to maintain two houses
5. The grocery store where my mom and I work are cutting hours, as well as my dad's now.
5. Broke my arm two months ago so now Im out of work till I fully recover, plus I have to pay for it.

That sucks, but from what I hear we are at the beginning of the end of all of this.

The only way this effected me was that my hours were basically cut into nothing so I quit my job. This almost effected BC as I was about to just shut it down because I couldn't pay for the server, but then we got the ads, so I basically just work on BC fulltime now to pay for the server.

Besides that, I never really spent too much money on anything.
