Wonder: The benefits of a fully realized elevator would make carrying people and goods into space cheaper, easier and safer. Hotels for space tourist?
Water Found On The Moon
Science: Since man first touched the moon and brought pieces of it back to Earth, scientists have thought that the lunar surface was bone dry. New observations.

I mean, BC is basically a spam forum (albeit a very fun one). There's little to no chat about games anywhere, most everyone is flamboyantly racist, and people have their chests as avatars.
Those fuckin' shows with fake studio audiences (IE Drake and Josh). I don't mind a real studio audience, but a fake one just shits all over the whole experience.
Yes, it's a joke. I don't need someone to tell me to laugh though. In fact, it's kinda insulting. Like, we're so dumb that we need someone to tell us when to laugh. What a fucking joke.
I was just in New York, and my sister was at the Nintendo World store in Manhattan. She got a copy a day early. Muhaha. And some t-shirts.
Anyways, this is where to post your friend codes. I'll post mine soon.
Many people are hypothesizing the rise of the Mac (and by extension OS X) in the next 10 to 20 years, and possibly the eradication of Windows. And if that did happen, I'm guessing many people here would be affected greatly.
So, here's my question. What do you want in a future OS, and what do you see in the future of software? Will computers continually keep getting more expensive? Will Microsoft die? Will Apple die?
I've been paying off my mortgage ALOT, I have the biggest house, but I also have very littlle furniture. So, I'm looking for people who would either sell, trade, or let me catalogue the following sets.
Japanese Set(except for screen)
Space Set(except for lunar rover and asteroid)
Robo Set
Kiddie Set(except for bureau and bookcase)
So, I came to find some people to play ACWW with, since I had the sudden urge to make a new town. However, now the forum is overrun with DP threads! What happened to the other games?!
And btw, anyone wanna play ACWW? :D

A few months ago, 1up ran a story detailing a Square Enix-produced strategy for Final Fantasy XI's toughest boss, the ridiculously-titled Absolute Virtue. More recently, at the Premier Site Summit event in late July, Sage Sundi, the Global Online Producer and Lead Game Master for Final Fantasy XI, claimed that the Absolute Virtue battle takes about 18 hours.
Yeah, you read that right. There's a boss in Final Fantasy XI that takes 18 hours. This raises a few questions, the least of which is WTF. Secondly, why would anyone spend 18 hours on one boss? There's a reason I will never understand MMOs, and this is it. Nevertheless, the linkshell (like a guild or clan) Beyond the Limitation has since beaten Absolute Virtue.
A recent update to the game, however, has brought an entirely new set of megabosses along with it. The toughest of these has an equally grandiose moniker: Pandemonium Warden. Never ones to back down from a challenge, Beyond the Limitation took it on, but had to quit after a grueling 18 hours.
Says player Sylphet of BtL:
People were passing out and getting physically ill. We decided to end it before we risked turning into a horrible new story about how video games ruin people’s lives.
Sylphet also mentions that several members of the linkshell actually vomited over the course of the battle.
With this in mind, Square-Enix' reminder that players shouldn't let Final Fantasy XI interfere with their school, work, families, or physical health -- shown at the beginning of every play session -- seems ironic at best and hypocritical at worst. Square Enix' critics are quick to accuse that these types of time-consuming challenges are simply an attempt to keep players interested and to stem the loss of players that Final Fantasy XI servers have been experiencing recently.
We are shocked, shocked I tell you, at the Gigwise report that metal fans are at risk for mental illness and depression. The story is that a study published in this week's Australasian Psychiatry journal claims "teenagers who listen to heavy metal are big on unprotected sex, self-harm and shoplifting."
The brief note does not differentiate between nu metal, old school, thrash metal, death metal, black metal and glam metal and we are left to wonder whether Judas Priest fans are equally as likely to shoplift as Megadeth fans, or if Evanescence fans are as depressed as Hatebreed fans. Questions questions. I need more information. A quest to access the actual journal article online leads to nothing but frustration.
Meanwhile fans of pop have to deal with "curiosity about their sexuality and worries about peer-acceptance," which is interesting because you'd think all teens would be curious about their sexuality but obviously metal fans are too busy being self destructive to dwell on it much while dance music fans are too busy doing drugs. Yes, "those who listen to dance indulge in more drug use, no matter what their socio-economic background is." Can you believe it!?
"Jazz fans struggle with social acceptance, usually settling down as misfits and 'loners.' Rap fans are also keen on theft, violence and anger, according to the study." I know! Me neither! Wait...back up...teenage jazz fans? Really? OK. (Maybe they mean "jazz FAN" singular. And that's why he's a loner. Or perhaps teenagers are cooler than I thought)
Nothing, says Gigwise, was mentioned about punk or alternative - where they would likely find common propensities for sulking and hair products.
We're wondering about the chicken or egg question. You know, do metal fans shoplift because they listen to metal or do they listen to metal because they shoplift? I can't think of any metal tunes with references to five finger discounts – unlike references to losing your marbles like Ozzy Osbourne going off the rails on a crazy train - but that doesn't mean there aren't any out there.
Anyway, not sure what they're telling us with this one. Take away your kid's Pantera albums? Or if you happen to find 'Cowboys From Hell' lying around the house, hide the knives?
The latest Wi-Fi letter has been released recently enough so that you could acquire it today, whether or not it came out today. I was at camp for two weeks, so I don't know if it came out today or not... Anyway, here's what it says:
Dear [Character's Name]
The Bug-Off is coming up!
Don't waste your time
wirth fleas, because only
the biggest big will win!
From Nintendo
Attached is a Combat Helmet, which sure as hell beats that crappy lawn chair.
Hehe. No, I wasn't. But that's one of the best intros ever.
Full name: Alexander Georg Yang-Nikodym. No joke.
Birthday: July 27th, 1992.
Hometown: Mississauga, Ontario (Canada).
Aboot Meh. Not much to say. I was born in Canada, and am not a hockey loving, maple syrup dependent rapist. I'm a semi-normal Asian/Czechoslovakian kid trying to make a living in a wicked world, armed only with my extreme literary chops, mah bike, and racism.
When my face isn't leaking blood or peemilk, you can usually find me out and about on my bike, where I trek into the frozen wasteland that is Canadia.
I'm 5" 11 ATM, and usually bike a minimum of 40 KM a week, although my best is 50 KM in a single day.
I love games and compooters. I have lots and lots of experience with almost every current-gen OS, including BSD. I also own a 360, DS, Wii, and all of the last-gen consoles. My favorite genres are action, FPS, and RPG, with my favorite games being, in order:
1) Super Mario World.
2) Tales of Symphonia/CoD4.
3) Gears of War.
4) Diablo 2.
5) WoW.
When I'm not out biking, I'll be on my 360, playing Too Human or CoD4. I do a good Batman impression too. You should hear it sometime mang.
Systems I wish I had include: PS2, PS3, Sega Genesis, a decent PC/Mac, and an arcade cabinet of SF3: 3rd Strike.
My favorite bands: Led Zeppelin, QotSA, Tool, BS, AC/DC, Ozzy, AiC, The Stones, and a few others that I'm much too lazy to post.
My favorite food... burritos. Not in general, but the ones from a local place called Burrito Boys. They will make you cum. Fo' real.
I can use chopsticks.
When I'm not on my Sexbox and my face is leaking, I'll probably be on the intarwebz, winning AIM arguments and making an ass out of myself on BC, and perhaps buying the occasional bday present out of guilt. And while some might say "I'd hit it" when someone posts a particularly saucy picture of themselves, my tastes are a bit more exotic, with chicken porn being a personal favorite of mine.
Hey everyone, after a long absence due to me not getting any new Wi-Fi games, I finally got a new Wi-Fi game... Custom Robo! So, if anyone gets it, post here!
I tried -dxlevel 81, -dxlevel 80, etc., but I still get 10 FPS average.
I also know there's a tweaker that builds you a custom autocfg.cfg, but it seems that the tweaker mirror is down. Anyone want to host it if they have it?
I'd buy it mahself, but my local EB Games is faggy and won't sell rated M games to minors like me. And my parents won't lemme buy it because I already have it for 360, even though it's much better on Steam.
Pokemon Platinum was recently announced in a recent issue of CoroCoro. It'll be similar to Emerald and Crystal in that it'll have no added Pokemon, but will add new features. Said features include:
-Wifi enabled Underground (w00t)
-Volkner is no longer the gym leader of Sunyshore
-Many legendaries will have new forms, similar to Deoxys in RSE; Giratina will have an Origin Form, Regigigas will have a Sky Form, and Shaymin will have an Another Form. More to come possibly...
-New outfits. Shmexy
-Japanese release date is sometime in September
According to the latest Nintendo Power, a new Wi-Fi letter will be released every Friday starting on the first Friday of October. Also, an EXCLUSIVE item will be released on the 20th of October, so be sure to mark this down in your mental calendar.
What the 'ell goes on in the Ladies Only Forums? I mean, c'mon. You're making topics like "Who would you date (on BC?)". Next, it'll be "Who's got the biggest titties". Well, probably not, and I'm just being an over-exaggerative dick about it, but you get the point (no dick joke intended).
Hello every1. Today is one of the very few chances I have to claim a game as my own, and since I just bought BKO, I'm kinda low on money. So, I'm thinking about getting Contact. It looks cool, but alot of gaming magazines have not rated it very well. So, I'm asking about three main components:
1. Main story play time
2. Enjoyability, and how long it's fun to play
3. Cost
Thanks in advance.

So, after 4 months of not having a Wii, I finally got one on Wednesday (I nearly cried when I got it lol). So, now I need to know some good games. Besides Wii Sports, I have Warioware and Super Paper Mario. Any other good games?
Please don't say Twilight Princess, because I have it for GCN, and hate it.
Im thinking of picking up BKO, unless I can grab Fable for XBOX, but I doubt I'll be able to, since it's rated M, and if I don't have a parent on me, I can't buy it (Stupid EB Games). So, if I can't grab Fable I'll grab Baten Kaitos : Origins. Anybody have it? What're your thoughts on it?
A conversation I had with my brother. J is my brother, and A is me.
This happened during a post E3 show.
J - "YOU CAN HAVE SEX IN FABLE 2!?"
A - "And safe sex too."
J - "Safe sex...?"
A - "It's the opposite of dangerous sex."
J - " I hope no one gets hurt..."
There seems to be a particularly nasty stereotype of Christians being overzealous, pompous dick farts. I'd like the community's opinion on 'em.
On a side note, there was a dude passing out Bibles at mah school today. My friend refused a Bible, and said he worshipped Satan. The dude proceeded to flip out, yelling at him that he was going to go to Hell and die lonely.
That's why I think they should tone themselves down a few notches.
Recently, I've noticed that almost every RPG I played as a wee lad was a JRPG, and that, retrospectively, I loved 'em. However, going back to them today, most of them were much, much less fun than they were (but not totally horrible either). Playing some of today's JRPGs, like Blue Dragon, I just wasn't having fun, but as a kid, I would've eaten this shit up.
