Rules: Sleep, Freeze, and Self KO Clauses are in effect. This is where things may be a little different than your traditional tournament which I'm testing out. You are allowed to have either 1 Legendary on your team or 2 of what I call Secondary Legendary Pokemon on your team (see list below). Woboffet and Wynaut are not allowed.
This tournaments End Date is TBA because it will be based on how many people sign up. This tournament will span over multiple days no matter how many people sign up. Day one will probably have the winners playing in round two. The next day will then start with round 3, the next with round 4 and so on. When you are assigned an opponent you and your partner have to determine a time to play, but it must be before the cut-off time that I announce. If you would like to sign up just simply post that you will and also send me a PM. You can say whatever you want here in this thread but if you would like to play you MUST send me a PM saying that you are and also stating what 6 Pokemon you will be using. There is no switching those 6 Pokemon in between battles. More information will be released in the days and weeks to come.
*Sleep and Freeze Clause state that you cannot place more than one Pokemon to sleep or freeze unless it is buy chance of an attack that also harms. Self KO Clause states that you cannot use a self KO move like Explosion with your final Pokemon.
Oh ya and the prize sorry to say is not some cool special Pokemon, instead it's an image for bragging rights. Right now it's the image seen below but I actually plan to make something much better, more like a signature.

For all you NFL fans, post what you think the playoffs will be like and discuss any other NFL Playoff stuff. Here are my initial predictions:
AFC Wild Card Kansas City @ Indianapolis
Ok let's make this simple. The Chiefs got Larry Johnson while The Colts have the worst run defense in the league and ever for a playoff team. If The Colts couldn't make it to the Super Bowl in previous years then they are going to struggle majorly this year. Larry Johnson is going to run all over Indy and keep Manning off the field, but when Manning and his offense get on the field they will score against KC and there under average defense
Final Score: Kansas City 30-24
NY Jets @ New England
The Jets are an over achieving team with like another team in the playoffs, a bad run defense. This means the Laurence Maroney and Corey Dillon combo are going to have an absolute field day. Maroney will break out for some big gainers and Dillon will hammer it in for the touchdown. The Pats have one of the best run defenses in the game and the Jets have a mediocre run game so that won't be too successful for them. The Pats weakness in my eyes is when teams pass on them and with the Chad Pennington on the other team you know that's what they will do. But then again this is the playoffs and this is Bill Belichick and the Patriots we are talking about so they are going to have alot of defenses that will confuse Pennington into make bad decisions and throwing some interceptions, which he had 16 of in the regular season.
Final Score: New England 24-13

About the list The list is a compilation of Xbox Live gamertags of the members of Broken Controllers. If you'd like to be added onto the list, post your gamertag.
How to read the cards The cards show all kinds of info of each person. Things like name, rep, gamerscore, last 5 games played, and whether they are online or not. To see if the person is online or not, check the top right corner of the card. It'll either say something like a game name and a little person icon thingy, or a time like "25 mins" and an image of the power button. If it says a game name that obviously means that the person is on that game. If it shows minutes or some kind of time it means they were online that long ago. Next you should look between the Zone and the little game pictures. That shows there status. It'll say if they are away, what they're doing in the game, or what the last thing they were on before they got off. Now you can click on a game from there list of 5 recent games to see how many achievements they have in that game and the last time they played it.
Closing comments The list isn't complete, I'll be adding more people and editing it to be more useful at another time. If you have any ideas how to improve the list let me know.
Ok so my sister (pinkpanther77, new to the forums) wanted to see what Trauma Center was like, so I let her play mine. I was sitting here on the computer and she just kept playing. Then she got to the part I was at (beginning of chapter 2, I just bought it) and I was like "Wow you've been playing that for awhile". So then I leave to go out with my girlfriend, come home a few hours later...she's sitting on my bed playing Trauma Center. I asked her "You haven't been playing this whole time have you?" and she answers " Hahahaha.... yes". So she is still playing it as I type this, and her play time is approaching... 7 hours! :shock:
I have been saying this since I first got here, but I don't really like how the Home Page looks. So I finally decided to take some action and design something I thought looked good. So go ahead and check out the current homepage and compare it to mine and you decide which one you like more. I'm not exactly sure how to make a template, I don't know what dimensions they are suppose to be so I just did my design 800x600.
I've made this quick nice little logo that Broken Controllers can put on things. It could be used as a kind of logo or symbol, or it could be used as some kind of stamp. What I mean by a stamp is if your creating say some kind of Nintendo Wallpaper for BC but you don't like how your text is turning out or whatever you can just take this and put it in a corner or something.
If any one does decide to use this in any of your work I can send you the .psd file so there isn't a big white background to it. Just PM me for it and I'll get it to you as soon as I see the request.

Rules For this tournament it will be a best of 3 series each round. And since each Wi-Fi match consists of 4 races, the first race will be a practice and will not count. Does anybody know when this is suppose to be released? If it even is still being released in the US. I know it came out over in Japan but I thought it was suppose to in the US too.
I just noticed that the Broken Controllers thing was changed at the top next to the house. It now says "Broken Controllers - Video Game Forums: Gamecube | DS | Wii - Forum Index". In my opinion that's just too long. Before it was much shorter and I liked it more then.
Ok well as of right now it does not seem like the front page is used for much. The front page now is that one with the Metroid background but I think the front page should be the News Page. So that way the news page is brokencontrollers.com instead of brokencontrollers.com/home. But then I also think if that happens the News Page should be redone a bit.
I'm looking to setup a Mario Strikers Charged Tourney for this upcoming weekend. I just want a small 8 player tourney where the first round will take place on Saturday and the final two on Sunday. Saturday you will have the whole day for you and your opponent to play the standard 3 minutes best of 3 series. Sunday you will have to complete your match by 8pm EST so the final 2 have time to set up the Finals. Any additional info will be released on Friday like the bracket and other info. This post will be updated with the new info, a link to the bracket, and the current players who have signed up.
NOTE: Remember that my Pokémon Tournament is taking place this same weekend.
I was just wondering if anyone here would be interested in playing in a Mario Kart DS tourney? Here is a quick explanation of what it would be like. 8 players in a best of 3. 2 days, first day will be a round robin, next day will be the tourney. I think each Wi-Fi match contains 4 races so that way the first race will be a practice race. You can decide what track to race on then but the next three will be pre-determined. Except for the round robin you can decide on each track to race on. After your match the winner should PM me saying that they were the winner. I do not want a PM from the loser, only the winner. If there is controversy with each member saying they won I will take matters into my own hands. But I don't think that would happen because I trust everyone on this site. So if enough people are interested then I will post another thread for the sign ups and I will explain in more detail the tourney there.
Remember that mini series on Cartoon Network, the one with the little 5 minutes episodes of The Clone Wars? Well it's coming back but much bigger. The animated feature Star Wars: The Clone Wars opens in movie theaters Aug. 15, with the ongoing series debuting this fall on Cartoon Network, followed by airings on TNT. Yes animated, but it's not cartoon drawings. Below you will see it's theatrical trailer, along with the poster below that.
A new Viva Pinata game is coming out later this year, and it's not a stupid party game. It's just like the original, but with more. It includes all the previous pinatas plus 30 new ones and new terrains like sand and snow. Plus there is a 2 player mode where both of you can do stuff through out the garden.

Earlier today I was scared when I saw that the news page was removed from the top of the forums. I quickly realized that the Home link was the new news page. But now I go to it and there's 6 sites on it, wtf happened?!?!
Who is your favorite legendary pokemon of all time? I personally like Mew and Mewtwo. Mewtwo just kinda seems a little badass to me and Mew is just cool. I also like Shaymin because it's a hedgehog.
First off the thing that I want added has nothing to do with Broken Comics, just the page it is on. I think that there should be some kind of a link on the Broken Comics page that goes back to Broken Controllers. Just a little better navigation, nothing big.

I was just on the NSider forums over at Nintendo when I saw that Microsoft bought out Rare, and that there will be a Banjo 3 game on the XBox 360, not the Wii! I thought the other two Banjo games for the N64 were really fun and think that a new installment to the Banjo series could have worked well on the Wii but it looks like that just isn't going to happen. What are your guys thoughts on this?
I love the News Page now. whadu has done an amazing job with it. He's always updating it with more news (although it would help if more people would submit news), it looks great now, I like the new buttons and features he has added too. But I think that this News Page should be treated as the main page. It had those nice looking buttons to the Forums, Profiles, and BC Pedia but I think there should be some more buttons off to the side or top or something that goes everywhere else, like the Picture Studio, the Video Productions pages, Broken Comics, and the Chat rooms. I also think that whole right side could be arranged a little better.
My first official creation as part of the official BC Graphics Team is an updated banner. I've got the same background as the current one so it'll look similar, but the text is updated and there are also 4 variations of it. Here they, you can decide what you like best. As you know, I like to fiddle around some in Photoshop and recently I've been into making things more on the lines of web design. I just finished up making this one and I'm pretty proud of it.
If you don't use the homepage then you should! A lot of you find some sort of news and post it in the forums, why not publish it on the homepage? I'm pretty sure BC has many members who just use the home page and not the forums.
And for those of you who do use the home page, vote! A lot of the news that has been published is great news but can't get put onto the front page because it doesn't get enough votes.
It's my first game ever, a topdown shooter with a Star Fox theme. All the sprites aside from the explosions are made by me, so that means they are bad :( But ya as of now the game is playable, but it isn't very good. There is only 1 enemy (an asteroid) but I plan to add more enemy ships that will be able to shoot within the next couple of days. So this is just the base of the game and will be getting better, what do you guys think of it so far? Arrow keys to move, space to fire.

I've been working on doing so much stuff for this game, testing and whatnot that I can't even remember what's new in this one compared to the last update. Well I do know alot of things which you will notice right away. And the games official name is Star Fox: Infiltration. But as for gameplay goes, nothing big changed there. I think I may have changed some stuff around from the last update where the enemies start appearing differently and how many of each thing appears.

Well we know that Rare has moved on to join forces with Microsoft, and so that meant so long Banjo! And now at Microsofts X06 event, they have revealed a little sneak peak trailor to the new Banjo Kazooie game. Both Banjo and Kazooie sound the same, although have changed appearance just slightly as you will see in the video in the link below.
Ok so in Teej's thread you guys all posted the top two guys that you want to use. But what if you get Brawl and you first use the character you have been dieing to play as and he sucks balls. What would you do? Would you continue to use him or would you try someone else?
For me I will use Sonic no matter what. I don't care, I'm going to practice constantly with him. I'm going to force myself to be good with Sonic. AS for my other favorites coming into the game Olimar and Trainer, they'll kinda be like how DK is for me now. I like him so I use him sometimes, but I'm not good enough to play with him competitively.
