Anybody watched this show? I bet not. Most people likely skimmed over it because it came on KidsWB which is notorious for making crap shows that rarely last more than one season...unless it's anime that sucks and manages to stay on for like a decade.

Whatever the case, it's a great show despite the time frame it's in. IGN has stated that they think it is as good or better than many primetime dramas for adult audiences. It has plot, but not enough to bore. It has action, but not enough to seem shallow. It's a perfect mix! There are overarching aspects, but they are subtle and don't overshadow the situation at hand. You can see things building towards an end for a long time.

For instance, in the third episode, something happens that begins to foreshadow what happens in the season finale...a full ten episodes later. This was kind of the underlining story for the entire season, but if you weren't aware of the Spiderman lore, you might miss it.

It's in a really kid oriented time slot, but The Spectacular Spiderman has so many aspects that can appeal to older audiences. I think if people gave it a chance, this show could survive is an "older" time slot.
