if its that shooting star thing, i got nothing from it, nothing! i had 6 of them past last night and got nothing, i tapped the guy and pressed A but nothing.

how can i get free gifts from it?

You have to make sure that you aren't holding any items in your hand, first of all. Then if Wishy appears you press the A button and your character will clasp his hand together. The next morning you should recieve a letter from Wishy containing a present. :)

I'm not saying you have to fall off the wagon. Or get on a wagon. You don't have to interact with a wagon in any way that makes you uncomfortable

If Wishy goes off screen before you press A it won't work.
