I've heard a lot of talk about this MMO and I really want to try it but...
I'm not good around 'paid membership'.
Back in the day of Runescape (I've been clean for about 2 years now :) ) I signed up for the paid members thing, it's only 5$US a month or something, but I got so obsessed. When I didn't play RS, I felt like I was wasting money :| So I was on all the time... Then I quit.
So, with WoW, there's no free-area and it's like 45$US a month or something?? I'm going to freak out if I get addicted.
I want to try the 10day trial of WoW but the 2+ gigabyte client file is being a b*tch to download. I get 80kb/s average but my internet usually disconnects randomly in the 9 hours it would take to download! :( Or sometimes the download just freezes.
*sigh*
Anyway, the point of this thread is:
Anyone here a WoW player? Is it REALLY THAT good? If so, why?
Wow, that sucks. I've never played it but from what I hear, It's completely worth the money. I play Guild Wars and that's a really fun game. It gets boaring though after a while.

Yeah I have Guild Wars too, one of the major selling points for me about that game was that it's free to play :D But yeah, pretty boring.
If I had a job to fund the outrageous prices, I'd get the game. Alas, I do not, and so I starve myself of that game, although Day of Defeat: Source is doing a fantastic job supplementing me of MMORPG fun. ;)
Oh yes, and Guild Wars isn't that good. :| Overrated/10. :| If you don't have friends to play with, it sucks. I hate searching for random people. :|

GW is my cup of tea, but all mmos get boring after awile. BTW I hate wow fags. ___
I need something that will take over my life, but I don't want to spend little or no money, unless I need to buy it over at the store, something my computer can handle, and no monthly subscriptions... MAPLE STORY! ___
